How many words can you read per minute? The average high school student can read up to 200 words per minutes. College students generally go through about 400 words per minute. Why is this? Because high school students have less time constraints on there reading and they can take they time with what they read. College students on the other hand have a much less time constraint and a lot of more reading to do which enables them to read faster.
